Shiller Math is a Montessori-based curriculum. Lessons include singing, dancing, and other Montessori-style activities using their provided manipulatives. The kits with all the necessary items for learning can be used with multiple children. Kit 1 does K through 3rd, Kit 2 does 4rth through pre-algebra, and the Fractions Kit takes your student from beginning fractions to advanced (the numbers on the books do not indicate grade levels).
Lessons are completely scripted, meaning the parent only has to read the quotation sections to their student. One book allows both parent and student to connect better, working together through the material without having to search for matching lessons in both a student and teacher book, etc.
Shiller Math focuses on thinking skills rather than the usual simple computation skills. This helps the parent to see if their student truly understands the material before moving on. Ideas are given for extra practice, if needed.
